    1. they look kind of young and grown up at the same time. it's like they have these young, thin bodies but their faces look more grown up.
    2. i feel hungry...
    3. i see ads like these all the time in teen vogue.
    4. i would like to, they're nice brands, but they are pretty expensive!
    set 2
    1. the woman in the first one seems happy, and the one in the second looks athletic.
    2. i feel good for the people in them because they seem happy about themselves
    3. a lot of dove and athletic brands have more realistic models like these.
    4. they're more like something i would actually be able to buy than the first set.

  2. set 1.
1.both girls look around my age or a little older, and they both look very fit and thin. they both look like they are enjoying themselves but kind of exhausted at the same time.
2.i feel like this is what the media wants everyone to look up too, they want us to believe that the thinner you are the happier you are. but that is not true.
    3. i see ads like these all the time, mostly in stores around the mall, or on tv, in magazines.
    4. i would like to yes, but they arent selling the products very well, they both look like they arent enjoying themselves and they arent happy.

    set 2.
    1. both of the girls are not overweight but they arent as thin as the girls below. i actually believe that the women in the first picture in set 2 is happier than the two girls in set 1. she looks like she enjoying herself more. she is very comfortable with her body.
    2. i feel like they are happy with their bodies, and you can have fun in life no matter your size, you should not let it bother you.
    3. often times you see these in magazines or on tv with weight lose stuff. i dont believe these women need to lose weight, they are perfectly fine.
4.i would buy those products being advertised because both females look like they are enjoying themselves.

    1. Both of the girls are very skinny and beautiful. They look "sexy" and like they are enjoying themselves and having a good time. It seems like they are also very relaxed.
    2. The ads make me feel like that is how I am "supposed" to look like to be pretty, but that is not true. I am pretty and I wear shorts and t-shirts, no make-up, and my hair in a pony-tail.
    3. I see ads like these everywhere, in magazines, in stores, on tv, etc.
    4. I thinkt that many other girls would like to buy the things in these ads, but I wouldn't. I don't WANT to look like the girls in these ads, I want to be unique, look like me, not like everyone else.

    1. the first girl looks extremely awkward and uncomfortable. she look really creepy like out of a horror movie! they're both really skinny and not very emotional. the second girl looks more normal but still really awkward. she doesn't look very happy.
    2. both pictures make me feel how lucky i am that I'm not a model. It looks so stupid in those pictures. they do make me hungry!
    3. i see adds like these on tv and magazines
    4. the first girl's shoes i think look extremely uncomfortable and sort of ugly too. the second is not too bad, but it probably is expensive.

    set 2
    1. the first girl doesn't look overweight but she's not paranoid about her body image. she looks really happy! even though her facial expression is not the prettiest, she just looks so enthusiastic and happy! the second girl's legs don't look overweight or "thundery" to me at all! i could say the first girl could lose a few pounds and it wouldn't hurt, but the second girl is perfectly normal! i like the saying too!
    2. these pictures make me feel so much better about commercialism and actors. they seem much more like everyday people.
    3. yeah, i see these adds a lot more in dove commercials and sporty adds.
    4. i would definitely buy these products because their not extremely overpriced and the people just look so much happier when they have deodorant than having fancy shoes. and deodorant and nike gear is much more useful in my everyday life than the other stuff.

  5. Sorry, I forogt to do the second set of ads.

    Set 2
    1. The people in these ads are not skinny, but not fat. The person in the first picture looks like she is trying to be over0exctied and she is really just biting her toungue. The person in the second ad seems dejected and sad and a kind of outcast.
    2. I don't like to say this, but the first ad makes me feel skinnier and really athletic. The second ad doesn't makes me feel like I should be ashamed that I have big thighs (I do a little), and to try to get rid of them. Also that you don't have to be incredibly skinny to be beautiful.
    3. I never see ads like these except in weight loss comercials.
    4. I would not want to buy the dress because, again, that isn't me, but I think that some people wouldn't want to buy the dress because someone who isn't "beautiful" is wearing them. I actually really like the shorts in the second ad and I would like to buy them, when I need more shorts.

  6. I am not really sure about the whole screename thing but I guess I am lillipad26?
    1. I think that these girls look fake and that they feel fake posing like they are.
    2. I feel like the people are trying to hard and that they should enjoy life more.
    3. I dont see these ads with younger people like this often. I think that it was a very odd choice in models to choose them.
    4. I would not want to buy these items because I dont think that they are things that are nessary.

    ReplyDelete
  7. 1. I think that the person in the first ad is embarassed that she had to be in a fat ad. I think that the second ad is photoshoped because no ones thighs actually look like that.
    2. I feel like these ads make me happy that I am not fat and make me want the nike shorts because they are super cute.
    3. I see these ads and things like sporting and health mags. They do this because people who care about this stuff will care about the ads in it.
    4. I wouldnt buy the fat thing because I dont have that problem. I would like to buy the nike shorts because I have seen them before and I have wanted them for a while now.

  8. 1. They both look really pretty but they look a little bit older than me. They look like their having fun and are enjoying their time.
    2. I feel fine but it makes me feel like i want to look as pretty as them and have their bodies and life. And like i want to grow up faster.
    3. yes. all the time. I see them in magazines, the mall, on t.v. in advertisements.
    4. ya i would. Because the look really nice, but really expensive to.

    1. One of the girls look happy and looks like they feel fine with their body.
    2. I feel skinnier but also happy that they look happy with their body.
    3. Not usually. I mostly see designer clothes with really skinny models. But i have seen advertisements like this on t.v.
    4. I wouldn't want to buy the dress because i don't care for dresses but the shorts i would like because i am doing sports everyday. But it does seem like the models posing advertising the items look fake. Especially the first picture

    1. yeah, the girl in the first ad looks like she is extremely uncomfortable crouching in 3-inch heels. The second girl looks like she got forced into doing this ad. Both are incredibly skinny, which kinda makes me nervous, i mean, they look so fragile.
    2. i just feel sorry for them that they can't aren't getting proper nutrition or if they have a condition or something.
    3. i see these in magazines like people and that stuff.
    4. though these ads try to make you feel cool, i honestly would not want to be caught dead in that stuff.

    set 2
    1. These people are the normal, NATURAL, everyday people. sure, they aren't as pretty or as skinny as models, but they are real people.
    2. it makes me feel happy that those people are enjoying themselves without influence.
    3. i pretty much see these in magazines too, and the dove ones are on t.v. a lot.
    4. i would probably buy these because they would be useful stuff to me.

  10. Set 1

1 They look grown up. They are happy because their faces are everywhere.

2 I feel like a fatty because these girls are so skinny.

3 I see the Dove on T.V alot.

4 Yes because i would use these things daily.

  11. 1. Clearly, these two ads are very different. I feel like the 2 first girls (D & B/DCG girls) are trying to look pretty, whereas the other girls are feeling pretty. In the DCG add, that is not what girls look like. I have seen girls with her same facial features and clothes, but her body language, her facial expression, and the look of the ad don't make me want to buy the shoe. I would rather have someone like me or my friends out there smiling and still showing off the shoes.
Now, the plus size woman looks happy, although she does look like she is trying to hard. People in this world look like her, and need to be secure their bodies. The "Thunder thighs" is my favorite. It's real, and it's true, and that's what athletes look like.
    2. I see ads like the DCG one a lot in Teen Vogue and other magazines that I read. I've seen a couple of Nike ads, but none like the plus size lady.
    3. I would buy everything in these ads other than the DCG shoes. The girl is just to creepy and fake. I also like the Nike ad, especially because the shorts are cute and show that you don't have to be stick thin. But, I hate to say it, but I love D & B bags, even though the prices are ridiculous.

  12. I really dont think her thighs are that big! they look normal to me! and the shorts are cute!
and i dont no who said the first two girls are enjoying themselves, but it does not look that way to me at all! the first girl looks sooooo awkward!
